Realistic eyes/Tearduct vision
[info]kawaiixteddy wrote in [info]fursuit
Hey all!
so I was looking through the memories, and I couldn't find anything on vision through tear ducts. I'd like to learn how to do that, but I just have no clue where to start.

I found this picture a while ago somewhere, don't remember where though :\
but maybe someone could make a diagram or something with it, showing how it would look with tear duct vision?

And would you be able to make a moving jaw..?
And how would I go about installing the eyes?
How do I put the tear ducts in?

Sorry for all these questions, just wanna learn as much as I can haha

Wolf-y fur scraps needed!
[info]drakeducaine wrote in [info]fursuit
Hello all! I didn't get any responses from fursuitauctions so I thought I'd post here too. I'm looking for scraps of medium to long-pile wolf-colored fur to make a tail for my Max (Where the Wild Things Are) pajamas. I can sew scraps together to make the size piece I need to work with, so I'd be happy with those. They need to add up to something close to 30"X10" though, ideally, or just be that size to begin with! If anyone has that kind of fur to spare please let me know, I can pay by PayPal, art trade, crafty items or fursuit parts (DeviantArt gallery at www.webdragon.deviantart.com). Please comment here or drop me a line at drakeducaine@yahoo.com.

Thanks!

I checked back a little way and didn't see these posted, sorry if they're old. Got these pics via my work email so I don't know where they're from originally. Very cute though!

Balaclava question
[info]tamronwolf wrote in [info]fursuit
Hi, I have another quick question, does anyone know of any brands of balaclavas that are ideal for use as a head base? I would really appreciate links if possible! For my current head, I used a ski mask, but I found that the knit tends to fray, and the hot glue easily seeps through it, which burns. :/

Thank you.

Do you need a set of hand paws for your fursuit? Or do you just want a pair of paws! Well I have an auction on Furbuy for the dicounted price of $40!

These paws will have a few features included in the base price of the auction. They will come with included basic stripes, spots or other markings; paw pads; shoulder length; and if desired detachable sleeves so the paws can be worn comfortably with long sleeves.

Shipping for these will be $10 that can be paid with the initial payment of the auction or paid once the commission is done.

Help me and I will help you!

I need a little help/trade. I don't have a sewing machine, nor the skills to use one if it magically appeared. But I want to make a fullsuit of a "My Little Pony" to wear to a pony con and also to otakon in Baltimore next summer...I want to take my little sis in law and that would be a great outfit to go in.
I do have experience with heads and tails, so I guess I am looking for a trade. Someone to make me a body suit (simple xlarge jumpsuit..no dtd, just the mcalls or butterwick or whatever pattern!) in exchange for a head or tail, or even something else, art...plushie...anything I can make for this skill. I can even provide the fur! I need the outfit by the end of April. Anyone game? email me at candycornsnake@yahoo.com for pictures of my past work!

I see...

so, ruuning way late on my rat-head, but what you going to do? ;) Anyway, I'm going to make the eyes out of fun foam and buckram (at least I think I am) and was wondering something. I'm pretty sure people have said before, that it's best to color the buckram with paint pens? Is that true? Just wondering what people have to say on that subject, because me and plastic bowls hate each other. ;)

Alright guys, I'm in need of major help.
[info]dominodingo wrote in [info]fursuit
Today, while I was away, my dog managed to get into my room and absolutely ruined everything but my head, since everything else was low to the ground. I am in DESPERATE need of a new body, hand, and feetpaws before this coming FC. I dont care the price, as long as it can be done. No budget. We wont be able to match the fur perfectly because I don't believe they sell it any more, but we can try. Man, what a way to start the holiday... :/ Email: Domino.dingo@yahoo.com Yahoo IM: Domino.dingo

Airbrushing help
[info]rona_dolvi wrote in [info]fursuit
I bought a body suit and foot paws from someone and I was wondering...

Can you remove airbrushing from faux fur?

It's not that I don't like it, I just don't know if it's going to tie in with what I have planned for it.

Any help is appreciated.

http://pics.livejournal.com/selfishgiraffe/pic/0003qh18/ Linkage to picture.

P.S. FireStorm 6 did suggest just removing the offending back and sewing in a piece blank, so I may do that, and try with the piece removed to see what could be done with it. We'll see when I get it.

Yarn tails!
[info]winging_away wrote in [info]fursuitauctions
Hello there, good Fursuitauctioners. I'm here today to advertise, as most of us are.

Number one and Number two. Both of these were made using the same method.

Tails for fursuiting or casual wear, made entirely out of yarn. The base is knit on a round loom, out of your choice of a colour of yarn, and it shows through the other colours sparsely, mimicing the undercoat of an animal's fur. To attach to the belt or even simply under your clothes, a longer piece of yarn will be looped through the top- this can be easily exchanged with any number of alternative methods of attachment.

I already have one auction up on FurBid, and one slot open for a custom commission. Contact me at Theasterik@hotmail.com for discussing it- prices start at only $20!

Just cleaning my work area again before the holidays :)

1/2 yd of dark grey semi-tipped seal fur from a Joanns
This is a neat warm grey fur, it's kind of tipped and almost has a brown sheen to it. VERY plush, super soft, maybe you have a use for it! Asking $10, +s/h to be determined by your location

Paypal preferred, first come first served with payment, I will ship anywhere but shipping costs are all you. Thanks, let me know if you have any questions! :)

We got a ton of snow here and it was fun to see how my pets would react to it. The amount of snow is taller than my bichon, and it was my cats' first time experiencing snow. I took a short little video that I thought I'd share:
